Hi- I don't think there are microwave ovens in the "regular" rooms. Maybe you could bring a hot pot with you or one of those little electric bottle warmers? They should plugin and work fine there.

As far as the bottled water, it is readily available, just have to ask. You'll probably even find some in the fridge in the room.

I hope you'll figure something out for the crib there...a pack and play might be worthwhile to bring.

Hi, it's me again with my 2 baby girls, I have 2 questions:

1/Do they have a microwave oven I can use (I need to sterelize the milk bottles)? I called the hotel and the front desk told me they do not (I'm not sure he understood me).

2/ Do we have access to bottled drinking water (for the babies, tap water is not an option!!!)

Hello again,

I just called the hotel to confirm my reservation, a guy called Edward was nice and helpfull on the phone.

I have 2 babies but he told me that they have only 4 cribs for the hole hotel !!!!

He told me that if I wanted a swimming pool /beach view I needed to pay an extra 55 $ (I didn't ask if it was a one time 55$ or per night, would you know?

Anyway, he kind of hinted that I might get the room without extra charge. it will probably depend on who books me when I arrive.

I am not sure where is the best floor to stay on right now. Provided the elevators work now, which they probably do, the higher the better. Less noise and more likely you'll have a view of something good. The first floor would be good if you want a sliding glass door to walk out into the resort...

The 4th floor to avoid any over head noise or the ground floor which enables us to enter & exit the room from the back while the babies are napping?

Thank you for the review. I am part of a group that will be traveling in July as part of a Radio promotion. I can't say that my last stay in Punta Cana was a nice one, we stayed then at the Sol Melia Bavaro Beach Resort which is a living nightmare.

It is understandable that in new hotel little things slip through the crack and issues arize but....the details in hotels are what matter. I can only say this. If you left the hotel without food poisoning you are good to go!

In our last trip to the above mentioned hotel, half of the crew (including yours truly) left Santo Domingo with somekind of food poisoning due to the buffets and other restaurants.

That hotel is very close to the one being reviewed here.

I can also tell you that as far as resorts are concerned in Santo Domingo are concerned I will only go to the Casa Campo area or the Palmas Paradisus Resort, other than that. Not ONE has convinced me as of yet in Punta Cana.

I would much rather go to Puerto Rico where the people are friendly, the food is good and the resorts are just as nice.

When I was there, only the French/Gourmet restaurant didn't allow children (although they allowed mine), but they do keep changing the rules to figure out what works...so that may be true now.

If you're going there any time soon, you should still try to change resorts if you can. Do a search on Travel Advisor and read the latest reviews--they are NOT good. If you can't change I am sure you'll have a good time anyway. Be sure and bring mosquito coils and alot of patience though.

I hope they will improve the things that they can improve for you by then (for instance more beach chairs so people won't have to lay in the sand, better planning at restaurants so folks won't have to wait for hours in lines to eat, better trained staff and additional staff in restaurants, front desk and on the maid service)...I would have thought they would have taken care of alot of this by now, but if you read other reviews for instance on Trip Advisor Dot Com, you'll see that things aren't getting better, even many weeks after I was last there.

Change hotels if you can, and if not, hope for the best. Its a really nice location so you're apt to have a good time in spite of the hotel issues.

We are a family of 4 leaving on Feb. 24. I have seen the pictures from people who got rooms on the opposite of pool view side. It is not nice. I have written to the hotel twice to request upgrading and they say it is not possible.

Do you think people can upgrade once they get there?

Hello-

This is a good question, but unfortunately, I don't think I am going to be very good at answering it. While I was there, construction was going on in both of the buildings simultaneously, and in addition at other places in the resort (such as the theater and the grounds). Hopefully this will not be true by the time you get there, but given indications by very recently returned guests, the hotel is still very much unfinished.

The reason I got the ocean view room was because I had already been moved to two rooms and had requested to be moved to a new hotel because I didn't think Edenh was going to work out for us.

By a stroke of luck and alot of kind attention from the apple vacation rep, we were able to get a room on the 4th floor in the "club room" section in building 1. This was a big improvement, not just because of the view, but because of the dividing wall between the bathroom and sleeping area and because it was mostly quieter (minus the elevator issue mentioned in my review and some slamming doors blowing in the wind one night)

You could try to request an ocean view room when you get to the resort, but I think probably every other vacationer is making the same request. In general, I believe you have to upgrade your room to get an ocean view room, and you should do that before you go.

In our stay in the two other rooms, which faced the outside of the resort, we had two not-so-good views. One was a ground floor room in building 2--our view was of a black construction fence (if you happened to be in a higher room and could see over that fence, you'd be looking at the hotel laundry area).

In our second room at Edenh Real, on the second floor, we were treated to a view of a barbed wire fence which seperated the hotel from a neighboring complex which seemed to house local folks who liked to play dominos outside. This was definitely an improvement over our first room and was relatively interesting, just not what we were hoping for.

What I am trying to say is that if you can't get an ocean view room, ask for a room that faces the swimming pools, and not the outside.

Hello- I don't think the hotel had a car rental available. I could be mistaken on that but if there was, it was well hidden. You could try calling the hotel and asking the phone number is 34 902 115 116.

As far as the crib, I think a two year old would fit. Its just a matter of making sure they don't try to stand in there or building a baracade like we did. Its a very dangerous situation otherwise.
